South Asian Medical Student Association (SAMSA)

Mission statement: The South Asian Medical Student Association (SAMSA) is a student interest group that aims to provide support and resources to medical students of South Asian heritage, as well as those interested in South Asian health and medicine.

Goals and objectives for 2023-2024:

1. Host events that will provide insight into South Asian culture and medicine for students of South Asian backgrounds and those who are interested in learning more about these topics.

2. Provide meaningful panel/guest events featuring medical professionals with a South Asian background.

3. Host social events that allow SIG members to connect with fellow classmates as well as upperclassmen for future collaborations and projects.
